Meet the Teachers
First Grade 215, Ms. Landi - Ms. O'Grady:
Ms. Landi has been a General Education teacher for 16 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Iona College, a Master of Science Degree in Literacy from The College of New Rochelle, and a certificate in School Administration from The College of St. Rose. She has been teaching at P.S. 108 for 10 years and has taught first and second grades during her time here as a teacher. She has also been a Reading Teacher for grades kindergarten through five. In her spare time, Ms. Landi loves baking, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. Ms. Landi's favorite quote is: "The past is gone, the future is unknown, the present is a gift."
Ms. O’Grady has a Master’s degree in Special Education and General Education for Grades 1-6 from Pace University. She is happy to be working in the neighborhood that she grew up in. Prior to working at P.S. 108, she worked as a teacher in Catholic schools. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, cooking, teaching paint night and traveling to new places.
First Grade 221, Mrs. Hefter:
Mrs. Hefter has been a teacher with the Department of Education since 2005. She currently holds New York State Teacher Certifications in both Early Childhood and Childhood Education. She is a graduate of Herbert H. Lehman College (CUNY); where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Hefter has taught Kindergarten and First grade. Her favorite subject is math. Mrs. Hefter enjoys inspiriting her students, while also receiving inspiration from them. In addition, Mrs. Hefter enjoys fishing, camping, and gardening. She especially enjoys spending time with her family. She currently resides in the Bronx with her husband, daughter, son and two fish.

Kindergarten - First Grade 127, Mrs. Lanza:
Mrs. Lanza is excited to be a part of P.S. 108 community. Prior to joining the second grade team, she taught fourth grade in Catholic in Staten Island for six years. Before that she was a substitute teacher and has experience teaching many grade levels. Mrs. Lanza earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Iona College in New Rochelle before obtaining her Master’s Degree in Childhood Education from the College of Staten Island. She went on to extend her teaching certificate to Special Education. Mrs. Lanza is married and a mother to her adorable son. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Lanza enjoys spending time with her family.
