Meet the Teachers

    Mrs. Roksvold:
    Mrs. Roksvold has been a teacher with the Department of Education since 2005.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Business from Mercy College, a Dual Master's of Professional Studies degree in Childhood from Pace University and a Technology degree from New York Institute of Technology.  Mrs. Roksvold has primarily taught upper elementary grades during her time as a teacher.  Her favorite subject is social studies.  Mrs. Roksvold likes to read, travel and spend time with her family.  She currently resides in Pelham, NY with her husband, her daughter, and son. 

    Mrs. Breitenbach:
    Mrs. Breitenbach earned her undergraduate and 1st Masters at Iona College, her second masters at Mercy college. She has been teaching in the NYC DOE since 2001 teaching various grades and has even been Dean of Middle School. Mrs. Breitenbach enjoys teaching all subjects.  Other than enjoying teaching at P.S. 108 Mrs. Breitenbach's favorite hobbies is spending time with her human family and her animals. Some of her animals are dogs, chickens, bunnies, fish and turtles. If you ever have a question about animals stop by my room and strike up a conversation! 

    Mrs. Keeney:
    Mrs. Keeney has been a teacher at P.S. 108 for 13 years.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's of Science Degree in Early/Elementary Education from The College of New Rochelle.  Mrs.  Keeney has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.  This is her fourth year teaching 4th grade.  Her favorite subject is reading.  Mrs. Keeney enjoys working with her grade partners.  She especially loves being around her students.  She takes great pride in their work.  In her spare time, Mrs. Keeney loves to read, travel and spend time with her 3 beautiful children! 

    Ms. Cerbone:
    Ms. Cerbone has been a special education teacher at P.S. 108 for 12 years.  She holds Bachelor Degree in history from Fordham University, as well as a dual master's of Professional Studies degree in Childhood and Special Education from Manhattanville College.  Ms. Cerbone has taught 2, 3, 4, and 5th grades as well Special Education Teacher Support Services.  This is her 5th consecutive year in 4th grade.  Ms. Cerbone loves connecting with her students, and seeing the "lighbulb" go on in their heads.  She loves traveling, and looksforward to doing more of it in the future.  Presently, Ms. Cerbone is content to stay home with her husband and two daughters. 
    Mrs. LoCascio:
    Mrs. LoCascio has been a Special Education teacher with the Department of Education since 2011. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pace University and Dual Master's of Professional Studies degree in Childhood and Special Education from Mercy College. Her teaching career has geared toward the empowerment of early childhood and elementary school children. She has a strong passion to educate young minds and help children blossom into well-rounded, responsible and successful individuals. Throughout the course of her teaching at P.S. 108, Mrs. LoCascio has had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students. As a professional colleague at P.S. 108, she continues to remain eager to collaborate with administrators, related service personnel, classroom team and parents to maximize delivery of service. She is accepting to feedback, eager to learn, and continually challenging herself as an educator. Her favorite subjects in school are reading and writing. In her spare time, Mrs. LoCascio likes reading, creating do it yourself projects, watching Netflix, cooking and spending time with her family.  She currently resides in Bronx, NY with her husband, son, daughter and dog.
